Kingdom Man

God’s agenda is to advance His kingdom down the field of life, and in order to do so, He is looking for men who will rise to the occasion in their bid for greatness. Yet in order to rise to the occasion to be great, you must first allow yourself – release yourself – give yourself permission – to want it. You were made for it. It is okay to want it. In fact, it is more than okay – it is a mandate.

Far too many men are satisfied with the practice squad. Far too many men are satisfied with just being okay, with getting by, or living a mundane and ordinary life. Many, if not most, of the problems that we are facing today is because men are thinking too small. They are either not thinking about greatness at all, or they are thinking about it wrongly according to the world’s grid for greatness.

Some thieves one day broke into a store but didn’t steal a thing. They just exchanged the tags. They took a $12,000 tag off of a Rolex and put it on a Timex. They took the Timex tag of $99 and put it on the Rolex. They did this with everything in the store. The next day people came in and bought a bunch of stuff, spending a lot of money on the worthless and little money on the expensive.

We live in a culture today that has switched the tags on greatness. It has put a lot of money on the flashy life while putting only $99 on character. It has put a lot of money on cars and career, but only ten cents on integrity, family, and impact.

God stands in the locker room of our souls with a personal bid to greatness, as long, that is, as that greatness comes underneath His authority and is expressed in an effort to reflect His glory. Something that the world doesn’t necessarily say is valuable, but something that eternity has deemed as priceless. Understanding the value of true greatness is the key to experiencing all you were destined to be.
