All In: Faith Unfazed in a World of Chaos

Are you all-in for Jesus? If not, why not? Why not be all-in for the One Who died for you?

Often the excuse is given, “I don’t want people to think that I am a crazy religious nut.” If we go all-in for our Lord, then, yes, the world will think that we are different. However, Jesus told us to expect that. In John 16:33, He promised that we would have tribulation in this world. He warned us that because the world hates Him, the world would hate us also: "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." (John 15:18)

As we seek to be all-in, living a faith unfazed in a world of chaos, the first thing we need to do is go with the best. With anything in life, we do not just want good; we do not just want better. We want the best for our lives. If nothing but the best will do for us, then why not give our best for the Savior Who gave His best for us?

Hebrews 10:19 tells us that we can have boldness to approach God. Under the sacrificial system of the Jewish Temple, man could not approach God directly. Only one time each year could the High Priest enter the holy place and offer a sacrifice for the sin of the nation. This was an offering that had to be made every year.

This was a better way, but now we have the best way. Jesus Christ is our High Priest Who made an offering for sin that sanctifies once for all. When Jesus died on the cross, the Temple veil that separated God and man was torn from top to bottom, demonstrating that we can now come boldly to the Throne of Grace.

Believer, you have direct access to the God of the universe. You have the best; now go with it and be all-in for Him.
