Faith Over EverythingՕրինակ
Faith Over Everything.
Having faith doesn’t mean that you ignore the facts. Having faith means believing a greater authority exists and rules above the facts. It means acknowledging the reality of the circumstances but also believing that miracles happen. We can become so familiar and comfortable with the facts that we end up boxing ourselves in and living within parameters that Jesus actually died to break down. When Philippians 2:9 says that He was given the name above every other name, that means that the name of Jesus carries power and authority above everything else—every fact, figure, diagnosis, dream, reality—you name it.
In Genesis 15, God made the promise to Abraham that his offspring would be as many as the stars in the sky. However, he and Sarah did not have any children, and they were very old. This promise seems impossible when you look at the facts, and they did just that. But the beautiful thing Romans 4:19 points out is how Abraham did not weaken in his faith as he faced the facts of his situation. He held both, and in spite of what the facts looked like, He believed God above them. And the promise God made to Abraham is still being answered today, with you and me (Galatians 3:29)!
When you look at your situation, it doesn’t matter how desperate or how amazing it seems, the truth is that we are limited in what we can do to move beyond where we are. But we can hold onto the hope we have in Jesus that what is impossible with man is possible with God.
Is there a situation in your life that feels impossible to you? Start declaring the name of Jesus over that situation, believing that He holds greater power and authority than what the facts say.
