Identity Crisis

Their Validation doesn’t define you

If you’ve spent any time on social media you can attest that you are bound to see what people are up to. Whether people are stunting and fronting or sincerely genuine when sharing their life’s achievements or their lunch it appears that people have a desire to share their life’s updates with others. One key aspect that individuals should be made aware of is that although sharing updates about their daily life's journey is entertaining and informative, it is vital that people purposefully aim to not seek total validation of others when accomplishing anything in life. Reason being, not a lot of people will understand or support the purpose of your life and might even attempt to intentionally or unintentionally derail you off track. Although the recognition from others regarding a job well done is always nice, seeking affirmation from others to determine your validity regarding your destiny isn’t beneficial for you. There will always be people who could care less about who you are, where you've been, what you are doing, where you are going and what truly matters to you. Many people might not validate your progress and the significant steps you've taken to accomplish your goals. But Praise God that He not only validates you, He cares about your past, present, and future. God's approval of you is more than the whole world against you.  A lot of people miss out on the blessings God has bestowed on them because of distractions, comparisons, competitions, insecurities, and jealousy.

Although people constantly upload photos sharing updates and the latest trends remember that you aren't validated by a social media post, mention, comment or like your validation is in Christ, that's it.

Identity Crisis

Is your identity tied in your accomplishments, people or even your past? Do you know who you are? Are you seeking validation from people to determine your worth? No longer live with the perception that your identity is determined by an accumulation of life events. In this Bible plan, readers will discover that their identity is found in Christ and not the Crises of life’s experiences.
