6 Days To Becoming A Kingdom DiscipleՕրինակ
There was a boy who saw the pupa of a butterfly moving a little bit, and he came alongside and slit it open, knowing that the butterfly was trying to get out. But when the butterfly emerged, it couldn’t fly because it hadn’t been through the struggle long enough to develop the strength in its wings so it could take off.
When God is in the process of transforming us, He is going to send us through trials. That’s why it says in James 1:4, “When your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing” (NLT). Don’t end the trial before God has finished developing you with it, because then you won’t be strong enough to fly to your next spiritual level of transformation.
Even in 1 Peter 5:10, the apostle writes, “After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.” I don’t know about you, but I look forward to being perfected by Jesus.
Discipleship is not about struggle, although struggle is in it, for sure. It’s not about rules or regulations, although He does expect our obedience. The goal of discipleship is to fly, emerging gloriously for the advancement of God’s kingdom and the fulfillment of His purpose for your life.
