Redefine The GrindՕրինակ
These incidents in the Bible in which God rewards those for their grind are not just found within the Bible, either. They can be seen in everyday life, even now. You hear stories all the time of successful individuals who have tried and failed over and over again. Walt Disney was famously fired from his job at a News Station for “lacking creativity.” Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time, did not make the final cut during his sophomore year in high school. When evaluating Albert Einstein, a teacher was quoted as saying he would “never amount to much.”
These innovators became great through their hard work. Their grind. I firmly believe that God rewards those who He feels have earned it.
For those who have never met me or heard my story, I empathize with these individuals.
You see, I was not the type of person who you would assume to become successful. I did not grow up in a wealthy home. I was far from being the best student. I have been fired from more jobs than I can count. As a teenager, my life lacked direction. As a twenty-year-old entrepreneur, I had a lot to learn about the way life worked.
But, I was willing to grind.
I knew that committing to God and being ready for the daily grind were the first steps. Although I may have not done it the most effective way, I worked hard. I failed often. I tried and tried again until I began to gain traction. Some days I felt all alone. But looking back, I know now that God was there every step of the way.
If you’re grinding, and you are working hard to make things happen in your life, you will face resistance. Financial issues, exhaustion, fear, doubt, I have dealt with all of them.
But if you can make your grind less about you and more about God’s will, then you will come out of your hardship victorious every time.
What has God instilled in your heart that will require you to grind?
