Return to the Good News

In the busyness trap of our lives, it’s easy to get caught up in the complexities and challenges we face each day. Yet, amidst the noise, there exists a timeless anchor – the glorious basics of our Christian faith. In 1 Corinthians 15:1–2, the apostle Paul urges us to continually revisit the bedrock of our beliefs: the profound truth of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection on our behalf for the forgiveness of sins.

Wherever this devotion finds you in your journey, revisiting the core message of the Gospel reminds us of the unshakable foundation upon which we stand. In the death and resurrection of Jesus, we find that the ultimate expression of God’s love and redemption – a powerful narrative that transcends time – is the decisive gamechanger that gives us ultimate purpose and meaning.

When was the last time you heard the Gospel? Just as a sturdy building requires a solid foundation, we must regularly anchor ourselves in the enduring reality of Christ’s sacrifice and victory over death. So, let’s joyfully revisit the basics of our faith – immersing ourselves in the significance of Jesus’ death and resurrection and the relationship we have with Him.

Thank you, Father, for sending your Son Jesus to die in my place. I turn from my sins and invite you again to come into my heart and life as my Lord and Saviour. Amen, amen, amen!
