Do not fear

Psalms 27, written by David is a psalm of fearless trust in God. It begins with a bold declaration that God is my light and salvation. His Word, both written (logos) and spoken (Rhema) is the guiding point in my life in my times of unrest. All I need to do is to hear His voice and keep following him. With Him around, and with Him in me, salvation becomes my portion. Well, then why do I need to fear?

Who can testify of this better than the author of this psalm, David, himself? At one point in time he stood face to face with a giant and all odds were stacked against him. But he walked fearlessly towards his enemy knowing that God was on his side. And we all know what happened at the end.

Make God the stronghold of your life and declare His Word over every giant that you are facing right now in your life. Say to yourself: I shall not fear. My Father has got His grip on me and nothing in this entire world can snatch me from His hand! Who dare can separate me from His love? I am more than a conqueror in Him.
