Year of the Bible: Part Twelve of TwelveEgzanp
A New Heaven, A New Earth
The first heaven and earth were created to provide a place, a tabernacle, where the two would meet: the garden called Eden. The consequences of sin corrupted the earth; therefore, a new earth was needed to accomplish the same goal: to be a place where God and His creation could meet.
Just think about it. God is so invested in meeting with you that He crafted an entire story, revealed in the scriptures, to help you know and have fellowship with Him. In this new meeting place, all tears of sadness will be removed, and sin's corruption has been eternally erased.
The victory of Jesus is ours. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is eternally with us, as He always has been with those who give their lives into His hands.
Accept the challenge to consider Jesus and all that He is. Consider the whole testimony of the Bible that reveals Jesus is the Messiah, the Anointed One—the One who was to come, who came, and who reigns as Lord of all forever.
