Moving Forward When It’s Been a Long Time Egzanp

Simeon walked as a man with the Holy Spirit. He demonstrated the fullness of life available when we are baptized by the Spirit.  If you’ve ever pickled anything, a vegetable sits in full submersion and there is no reversal of the process. Baptism is a submerging and transformation which results in full awareness of the Spirit resting on us.  It results in the newness of life! Reliance upon the Spirit is truly the only way forward.  We can do many things in our own strength and our own goodness, but true empowerment is only available through the Holy Spirit.  We need Spirit-empowered revelation. Simeon walked in revelation of the Spirit based on revealings from many days gone by. He was walking in strength and waiting for the revealing of the Messiah for most of his lifetime. In his older days, he still longed in eager expectation for the revealing of Jesus.
