Love God Greatly: Jesus Our EverythingEgzanp
Jesus’ death brought about a new covenant. His work gave us permanent cleansing from sin and guilt. Unlike the priests continually offering sacrifices in the Old Testament, Jesus did not have to continually die as a sacrifice for our sins. His work was complete and final after one sacrifice.
In the same way we will die once, Christ died once for sins. He promises to return again, not to bring judgment, but to bring salvation. We have the privilege of living on this side of the cross. We do not have to live in fear; we can live in hope. Our hope is secure because Jesus is our hope.
His ministry is far superior to any that came before Him (or any that may come after Him). Nothing we do, nothing we hope to accomplish or attempt to do to gain His favor will bring us salvation. We are saved by His grace alone. We can trust His work, believe it is complete, and live anchored to Him as our hope.
Lord Jesus, You alone are my hope. You are the way of salvation. Help me to remember Your sacrifice and Your grace. Help me believe You when You say Your grace is enough for me. I want to live a life that honors You by hoping and eagerly awaiting Your return. Amen.

Jesus Our Everything is a 6-week Bible study on the Book of Hebrews. As we study and meditate on the supremacy of Christ, we seek to have our lives transformed by Him. He alone is worthy of our praise. He alone is worthy of our affection. He is our everything. All our hope is in Him.
