God Is With You, AlwaysEgzanp
Adam, Eve, Jesus, and You
God has been there for His people since the very beginning.
When He created the world, He set people apart from the rest of His creation so that we could glorify Him and live in community with Him. After creating humans in His own image, he declares His total creation “very good.”
It wasn’t long, though, until sin entered the world. In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve choose to betray God, but even then, God shows His love and mercy by allowing them to continue living. As the Creator of all things, He could have just wiped them out and started over, but He didn’t. Instead, He promised them that one day their offspring would defeat sin once and for all, breaking the chains and bondage they put on themselves.
Many years later, God sent His son Jesus down from heaven in the form of a man, an offspring of Adam and Eve, in order to set humanity free from sin. Jesus Christ fulfilled God’s promise, but it cost Him His life.
That’s how much He loves His people.
That’s how much He loves you.
Now, Jesus desires a relationship with you. Because of His death and resurrection, you can come to Him about anything and everything. He listens to His people. He loves His people, and in the moments when you feel most alone, you can run to the One who went through great lengths to be with you.
God created us out of His love, and He saves us out of HIs love. As you read today’s scriptures, take a moment to meditate on the fact that the God of the universe, the one who created all things, loves you that much. Respond by thanking Him and trusting in His word.
