Nan jaden ki moun ou t'ap grapiye? Se pou Bondye beni moun ki fè sa pou ou a! Lè sa a, Rit di bèlmè li se nan jaden mesye yo rele Bòz la li t'ap grapiye. Nawomi di bèlfi li: — Benediksyon Senyè a pou Bòz! Wi, Senyè a ap toujou kenbe pawòl li, nou te mèt vivan, nou te mèt mouri! Se yonn nan moun ki reskonsab defann enterè fanmi an. Lè sa a, Rit di konsa: — Men sa l di m ankò: Se pou m rete ranmase tèt lòj ansanm ak travayè li yo jouk rekòt la fini. Nawomi reponn li: — Wi pitit mwen, pito ou rete grapiye dèyè medam nan jaden Bòz la tande.
Li di: “Se nan jaden yon mesye yo rele Bowaz mwen te travay.” Nawomi di: “Se pou SENYÈ a beni Bowaz! SENYÈ a bon epi fidèl anvè nou menm ki vivan epi menm ak lòt yo ki deja mouri.” Li se youn nan moun ki gen dwa pwoteksyon sou fanmi an.” Lè sa a, Rit, Mowabit la, di ankò: “Bowaz te di m tou, mwen te mèt kontinye travay bò kote lòt moun k ap travay pou li yo jiskaske rekòt la fin i.” Apre sa, Nawomi di Rit: “Se byen sa, pitit fi m. Mwen konseye w kontinye al travay bò kot lòt medam yo nan jaden Bowaz la. Konsa, ou pa ta bezwen al nan jaden lòt moun pou yo pa fè w mechanste.” Konsa, Rit te rete travay bò kote medam sèvant Bowaz yo jiskaske rekòt lòj la te fin i. Li te kontinye travay pou rekòt fwoman an tou.
Rit 2:17-23 New International Version (NIV)
So Ruth gleaned in the field until evening. Then she threshed the barley she had gathered, and it amounted to about an ephah. She carried it back to town, and her mother-in-law saw how much she had gathered. Ruth also brought out and gave her what she had left over after she had eaten enough. Her mother-in-law asked her, “Where did you glean today? Where did you work? Blessed be the man who took notice of you!” Then Ruth told her mother-in-law about the one at whose place she had been working. “The name of the man I worked with today is Boaz,” she said. “The LORD bless him!” Naomi said to her daughter-in-law. “He has not stopped showing his kindness to the living and the dead.” She added, “That man is our close relative; he is one of our guardian-redeemers.” Then Ruth the Moabite said, “He even said to me, ‘Stay with my workers until they finish harvesting all my grain.’ ” Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, “It will be good for you, my daughter, to go with the women who work for him, because in someone else’s field you might be harmed.” So Ruth stayed close to the women of Boaz to glean until the barley and wheat harvests were finished. And she lived with her mother-in-law.
