A Friend Loveth At All Times.Primjer
God Reveals Character.
Proverbs 17:3 KJV states, “The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the Lord trieth the hearts.” Fire reveals the character, motives and the intent of others. What’s beneath the surface? Fire reveals what’s impure in the hearts of others and brings what’s not like God to the surface. Let God reveal the intent of your heart. Let God reveal the intent of others.
Fiery trials weren’t meant to break you — they were meant to make you stronger. 1 Peter 1:7 states, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” Let God test and strengthen your heart with His Word. Let His Fire consume every part of you that’s not like Him.
Deuteronomy 4:24 KJV states, “For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire.” Let God continually consume every area of your heart that’s not like Him. Let God weigh your heart and remove the character flaws that need to be pruned. Let God sear away the things that offend Him. Let God do a new work on your heart. Let God do a new thing. Let God give you a new wine skin — a heart that’s after His Own.

Vance K. Jackson leads readers through this life-transforming devotional. The Bible distinguishes the difference between a friend and a brother. A friend, is one who loves, counsels, sharpens and provides wisdom in every season of life. A brother is born through adversity. Friends are close. But brothers are born in fire.
