Find Peace
Do you know that God wants to talk with us every day, guiding us in everything we do? Sometimes He might even reveal something totally out of the blue, and invite us to act on it in obedience to Him.
One of our team members at yesHEis shared that this happened to her one day while she was meditating on a scripture. She asked God this question; “I want to eat from your tree of life; is there anything standing in the way?”
Here's what happened next:
"I was immediately reminded of something I did wrong from 19 years ago! I was taken by surprise, but the memory ‘hit home’ with me, and I knew I needed to make a move to put it right. So I made a phone call that day, and to my surprise there was an immediate sigh of relief and a return apology from the other end of the line! The friend I had called wasn’t a follower of Jesus, but I got to repent, pray with them, and ask God to bring change. It was an amazing, open conversation where we had a long talk about the peace that only Jesus can bring. That day peace not only filled my heart, but also my friend’s heart and home!"
While the world's way of dealing with promptings like this would be, "forget about it, it's in the past", Jesus promises us the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth (John 14:15–27). He then goes on to say, “peace I leave with you; my peace I give you”.
Why don't you try asking God if there is anything standing in the way for you today?

You have the ability to dismantle conflict and reconcile people to Jesus. Discover strategies for this in our Peacemakers Bible plan today.
