Not Lent but Given: The Here I AM

“You’re Invited”

Christ’s “treasuring up” emptied himself out. Irreversibly, Spirit poured down. Jesus flooded our space and not just for forty days, but for the rest of them. Stretching a cross, His final homestretch to God, Jesus held with both hands. In the one, He gripped God’s presence placed among us. In the other, our future placed with God.

With a plan of grandeur beyond Mary’s converging conceptions, God proved Christ’s death man’s leaven. Reaped, crushed, and stripped by the fools who predicted the cross Christ’s end, God raised His Rest, tore one more veil, and Life began again. Jesus re-proved God’s order. The moment He did, joy came into morning.

God restored life to its place pre-veil so today, by faith in God’s Son, ever-present in every unseen space, we’ve our same Father’s promise - Life will prevail. Even better. The estrangement of everyday life in this world is invited to embody its Maker, again.

Not Lent but Given: The Here I AM

Jesus wasn’t lent. He was given. Which means, Here is why Easter doesn’t begin with Good Friday, but Bethlehem. Here is why Jesus is not conditioned by the rules you keep, but you are positioned by those He kept perfectly. Here is why death is forever defeated and you can walk the pages of God’s Word with washed feet. Here is why you are rising, even now as you read, and resurrection doesn’t culminate on Sundays. Here is Christ. Jesus is the Here I AM.
