We are constantly doing battle with the flesh and with those desires warring against God’s work within us. We can ask God to guide us in our weakness, share with us his wisdom and to protect our integrity.

Father, I know “the spirit is strong but the flesh is weak.” I ask that you lead me through this life and give me strength to overcome the things that look to overcome me. I know that I have not always done what you’ve asked me to do. I’ve gone when you’ve told me to stay and stayed when you’ve told me to go. But, I pray that you grant me better ears to hear your Word and greater sensitivity to know your workings in my life. Thank you for your presence in my life--in Jesus’ name, Amen and So Be It!
