Book by Book 4: John to Revelationનમૂનો
We don’t know who wrote Hebrews, but it appears to have been a sermon that was written down and turned into a letter. It seems there are some Jewish Christians who are considering returning to Judaism because of the way Christians are being persecuted. The writer strongly argues that this makes no sense. Judaism had pointed people toward Christ, and Jesus is clearly a better solution to the sin problem than all the rules of the Old Testament. This chapter is part of that argument. The writer urges people to neither abandon Jesus nor their fellow Christians.
This is a great challenge for us today as well. You probably aren’t tempted to walk away from Jesus due to persecution, but there may be other things that crowd Jesus and his followers out of our lives. We fill our lives with less important things and run out of time for a relationship with God.
