STEPS by John Ortbergનમૂનો

INTRODUCTION
We’re so glad you joined us for this two-week Bible Plan. My name is John Ortberg, and I lead a ministry called Become New devoted to helping people grow spiritually, one day at a time.
I recently wrote a book called Steps. Its purpose is to help you practice the Twelve Steps of AA as a program for life, whether you struggle with conventional addiction or not. The book is written for anyone hungry for more. It is not a “recovery” book. It’s written to help people enter into an actionable, non-legalistic, spiritual way of life that—oh, by the way—has had the empirically verified side effect of freeing millions of people from addictions when random “spirituality” could not.
We wanted to turn the concepts into a Bible Plan because we believe it can really help anyone who considers themselves a follower of Jesus do so in a more meaningful, surrendered way.
Throughout this Plan, I’ll walk you through each the 12 steps and provide my thoughts on how to put them into practice. However, please know that this journey is meant to take a lifetime. It certainly won’t be accomplished in the span of 14 days. But, over the next two weeks, my goal is for you to study these steps, become familiar with the road ahead, and ultimately commit to growing closer to our Father through it all.
It’s an honor to take each step together. I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
TODAY'S INVITATION:
Prepare your heart to learn about the 12 Steps over the next few weeks. Pray that God might open your eyes for what he wants you to learn and know.
About this Plan

What do we do when we know something needs to change but we can’t do it on our own? Join John Ortberg for a 14-day journey of transformation. The STEPS Bible Plan is rooted in the teachings of Jesus and uses the framework of AA's 12 steps as a guide for discipleship.
