How to Be Unstoppable for God

DAY 7 OF 7

Today is the last day of our series ‘How to be unstoppable for God’, and I want to end by discussing what to do when you face a setback.

One of the most important lessons we need to learn as we participate in the Kingdom of God is that things are often not as they seem.

Allow me to explain.

What seems to be a setback to us is usually something else in the eyes of God, for example:

  • A lesson
  • An opportunity
  • Protection from calamity
  • A greater plan at play

I’ve seen this time and time again in my own life, and the Bible overflows with examples of seemingly impossible situations that turned into extraordinary chamatkars.

Just to name a few:

  • Joseph was sold into slavery but ended up saving his family from famine (Genesis 37-48)
  • Lazarus was dead for three days, but Jesus raised him to life, and his testimony led many others to faith (John 12)
  • Mary was pregnant before marriage, a shameful thing in her culture, but she gave birth to the Messiah, the Son of God (Luke 1 and 2)

Becoming unstoppable for God includes adopting a "Kingdom perspective" to setbacks and seeing them as opportunities for God to display His wondrous deeds.

Cameron and I once faced a painful last-minute cancellation for a Yeshua Ministries concert. The reason for the cancellation was hurtful and upsetting to us. Yet, just days later, we were invited as special guests to another event that same weekend. There, we were honoured in a way that deeply humbled us, and Cameron was publicly celebrated for his years of faithful worship ministry. It was an experience we still talk about to this day.

The story always reminds me of Romans 8:28, where it says:

“…all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

My friend, write down your most recent setbacks and bring them to God in prayer. In faith, express to God how excited you are about seeing Him turn those situations around.

Hey! You are a Chamatkar
