“In the beginning, the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

Consider:

Songs like this remind us how glorious Jesus is. God who became flesh and lived among us. He showed us what God is like. He loved others well. He taught us how to live - humbly serving others and always desiring to do the Father’s will. He is truly winsome. There is truly no one like Jesus.

There’s something about Jesus that draws people to Him. His love, grace, and truth radiate in such a way that even today, He continues to captivate hearts. No one has ever lived like Him, no one has ever spoken with the same authority, and no one has ever loved like He did. His life is an invitation to know the Father and to live in relationship with Him.

In the midst of all the distractions and brokenness in the world, there’s something uniquely compelling about the way Jesus lived. His beauty is not just in His actions but in His character. His perfect love, His humility, His unwavering commitment to the Father’s will—these things make Him not only winsome but utterly incomparable.

Ponder:

Where have you felt the Lord’s tender mercy in your life recently?

How do you want to celebrate the Lord’s goodness?

Where do you notice how unique Jesus is from all the other people in your life?

Activate:

• Spend some time meditating on Jesus. Choose an aspect of His character or consider one of the stories of the Gospels and mull it over in your mind throughout your day. What does that story or quality mean to you in your life today?
• Visit a place that sparks wonder. It could be a space outside where you experience the wonder of God’s creation or any space that reminds you of the winsomeness of God
• Make a running list of how God is being kind to you. At the end of each day you could write down 3 ways that God showed kindness to you that day.
• Consider how Jesus is altogether different from others: His joy, forgiveness, power, glory, love, and goodness. Write a love letter to Him praising some of His attributes.
• Imagine Jesus sitting beside you in one of your favorite places. What do you want to say to Him? What do you think He wants to say to you?
