Day 8: Faith that Creates and Transforms

Devotional:
Hebrews 11 begins with a profound declaration: "Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Faith allows us to see beyond our circumstances and envision what is possible with God. By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command—what is seen came from what was not visible.

This creative power of faith is one of the greatest expressions of God’s glory in us. We are made in His image, called to imagine and create, bringing life and beauty to the world around us. Faith enables us to see solutions in challenges, strengths in weakness, and opportunities in difficulty.

Psalm 8 reminds us of the honour and glory God has given us. Though we may see ourselves as weak, God sees us as crowned with glory and entrusted with influence. Throughout history, people of faith have shaped the world—building schools, hospitals, and charities, creating art, influencing culture, and transforming communities.

This same faith is at work in us today. Faith in God’s calling can produce a meaningful life. Faith in challenges can produce solutions. Faith in relationships builds connections, and faith in our communities turns dark places into life-giving spaces. As we live by faith, every area of our lives can reflect God’s glory.

Our faith allows us to imagine and create a future aligned with God’s purposes. It’s not just about what we see—it’s about what we believe. As we live by faith, His glory becomes our story, and we become part of His mission to cover the earth with His light and love.

Spend time imagining what God can do through your faith. Write down one area where you can bring His light and transformation—whether in your family, workplace, or community. Commit this area to prayer and ask God for the faith to act on it.
