DAY 2 OF 5

From Striving To Surrendering

The old, striving Hope was full of pride. I didn’t want to miss out on people seeing me as the girl who had it all together. I didn’t want to miss out on the next best thing the world had to offer. I thought I was living for Jesus, but now I can see I was living for myself.

First Peter 2:9-10 says, “You are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.”

When we decide that we aren’t going to keep letting FOMO dictate how we live, we have to surrender our lives to Jesus. When we decide there is more to life than how we’ve been living, we have to surrender our lives to Jesus. Surrendering is where real transformation takes place.

Surrendering our daily lives to Jesus is the result of shifting our hope from the seen to the unseen. Surrendering activates our faith and lights a fire in our soul. It takes us from dead to alive. It’s where we get the courage and the boldness to trust Him and give up on trying to take life into our own hands. It’s where God proves His goodness, His kindness, and reminds us of His promises. It’s where God shows up in the most unexpected and exciting ways.

When we choose to surrender our plans, dreams, and expectations to Jesus, He transforms us. “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Beautiful changes aren’t only coming our way; they are happening right NOW.

Surrender your situation to God and ask Him to fulfill His will with your life.

About this Plan

Now Over Next

If you’re like many women, you struggle sometimes with FOMO: the fear of missing out. The problem is, we can become so busy trying to create a life worth living that we miss out on the moment God has placed right in front of us. It’s time for us to embrace where God has us today. It’s time to embrace NOW over NEXT.
