Qualifiedનમૂનો
Light can’t help but shine brightly in the darkness; light is needed more at night than during the day.
Similarly, when the unqualified person is given a platform far beyond their capability and what they appear to deserve, it naturally points to the goodness and generosity of God. When a quiet, shy, introverted engineer becomes a powerful preacher of God’s Word, others see God’s unique grace and favor. When a parent sits down one morning after dropping her kids at school and - out of a heart of worship - writes a powerful song of praise that speaks to the hearts of millions worldwide, the world sees God.
I’ve heard people say that those of us who don’t have educational degrees, riches, popularity, or other world markers of success, should be encouraged by the fact that God “qualifies the called.” I fully agree. Awards, certifications, and degrees are wonderful and should be celebrated, but they are not the source of our qualifications.
None of us are qualified from our own doing. From the child growing up in poverty in a war-torn nation to the Ph.D. teaching in an Ivy League institution, none of us are qualified. None of us can save others. None of us can do anything beyond what the grace of God has gifted us with. Every bit of talent or blessing we have, we owe to God. Every bit of life and breath that we have, we owe to God.
And to whom much is given, much is expected.
We all have been given much. We all have the opportunity to become children of God, with all of the inheritance rights as dearly loved sons and daughters. We all are to present honor and glory to our amazingly good Father, keeping none of it for ourselves.
Time and time again, God finds people who understand this principle. He seeks them out. They understand that they have been called to bring life to those around them. They understand the weight, and they understand the burden of loving others. They feel the Father’s heartbeat for loving people. They see through His eyes and listen to others with His care and wisdom.
May we know that everything we are, have, and will do, is only found in Jesus’ saving ability. May we be desperate but with hopeful anticipation because God has already gone ahead and claimed victory for those whom He calls and qualifies.
So, are you qualified?
If you call upon the name of the Lord as your Savior, you are called. Through the power of His Holy Spirit, you are qualified.
