Nothing Is Impossible

Here we are on the third and final day of our focus on prayer with fasting.

May the Lord bless and strengthen you today.

Whilst originally said by Muhammad Ali in 1974, Adidas (in 2004) launched a global campaign around the slogan “Impossible is nothing!” God had, however, already launched His global campaign around the same theme centuries before.

Luke 1:37 points us to this incredible Angelic declaration ‘Nothing is impossible with God’.

These words were spoken to Mary in the context that God had already done the impossible with her cousin Elizabeth. In other words, the same God who has done the impossible with someone else will also do the impossible for you.

As this new year stretches out ahead of us it is a comfort to know that we are in the hands of a God who laughs at impossibility.

That which is impossible with humanity is possible with God. My prayer for each of us today is that we will not allow the ‘straight-jacket’ of unbelief to limit and confine us to a small ‘safe’ life. As we pray together, let us allow the Spirit of God to raise our heads and our expectations, understanding that God actually wants to exceed our expectations in the year ahead. God wants to do more, but we need to trust him.

Let us dare to believe that God is able. What impossible situation will you bring before God today? Will you dare to pray some bold prayers whilst also saying ‘Thy will, not my will be done’?

May God infuse us with a Holy Spirit confidence that He is a miracle-working God. Let’s speak to our mountains believing in our hearts that God is able to see them removed. What testimonies await us? What stories will we tell at the end of this year as we declare ‘Come and see what the Lord has done’?

Let’s believe together for great things.

May the Blessing of God Almighty- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be yours in Jesus' name.
