21 Day Press on Fast

DAY 2 OF 21

DAY 2: TRUSTING GOD TO PRESS ON

Prayer Topic: Ask for stillness and the ability to trust in God’s sovereignty and His control over situations.

Pressing on doesn't always mean constant activity or busyness. Sometimes, the most powerful way to move forward is to stop, be still, and trust God. Psalm 46:10 calls us to step back and remember who is really in control. In a world that often values productivity and hustle, this command may feel counterintuitive, but God invites us to trust in His sovereignty. He is at work even when we are still. Being still isn’t about doing nothing—it’s about quieting our anxious hearts and trusting that God’s plans are higher and greater than ours. It’s a reminder that God doesn’t need our frantic efforts to accomplish His purposes. Instead, He invites us into a posture of trust and reliance on Him. Today, whatever pressure or challenge you face, remember that your strength comes from your ability to be still in God’s presence, acknowledging His power over your situation. Trust that He will be exalted and that His plans for your life are secure, even when you can’t see how things will work out. Take a moment to pause, breathe, and let God be God.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

  1. How do you usually respond to life's pressures, and how can you incorporate more stillness and trust in God?
  2. What steps can you take today to quiet your mind and acknowledge God’s control over your situation?
