Living in Increase (Part 4) - Increase in Communityનમૂનો

Life-Giving Reproof
I don’t know about you, but (if given the choice) I’d rather dwell among the wise than live with fools! It isn’t easy or fun to be given reproof; however, if you receive correction from a spiritual leader, it’s best to listen. Seeking godly advice includes seeking correction. This could be as simple as constructive criticism and pointing out something you weren’t even aware of, a past to heal from, or a sin to eliminate. However, be careful not to take correction from anyone and everyone. Proverbs 15 tells us that one who listens to “life-giving” correction will dwell among the wise. This advice should also be based on Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16).
Therefore, you must seek correction that brings life, not death. The wise counsel and advice must be spoken in love and come from a trusted mentor, elder, leader, or friend. We should use the Bible to guide our conduct (Hebrews 4:12) and test what is said to us by what the Word of God says. This is how God speaks to us and how we discern the truth!
