“For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.”

1 Thessalonians 1:4-5

• Have you ever gotten in your car and been certain that it would start; or been certain that your car had gas or that the tires weren’t flat? We have all experienced having faith or certainty in the things of this world or in things that we are just so used to. What about having faith in what God says about us?
• We have faith in the Word of God that says that we are chosen! What a beautiful word and reminder that because of the Gospel, we may know the truth and live in that freedom! Today, take a moment to reflect on the truth of the gospel that fuels our courage through good and tough times. During the holidays, it can be hard for some people who may have lost a relative or who are far away from home, or even those who don’t always have good memories of this time of year. Our faith is in Him who has called us to be men and women of power and conviction! Stand firm on that truth today, tomorrow, and always!
