A Year in Luke/Actsનમૂનો
“Who am I to stand in God’s way?”
Peter shows his hand here. With a deep humility, he relents his own will to the will of God. He forgoes his own culture to embrace the way of God.
How often do we let go of our desired outcome and accept the reality of Christ?
Look at Jesus’ words to the Father in the Gethsemane,
'And he said, “Abba, Father! All things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will.” He went a little farther, fell to the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. He said to them, “I am deeply grieved to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake.”' Mark 14:34-36(CSB)
We often get clouded with desire and our own plan; instead of seeking the will of God, we ask God to, in a way, retrofit His plan to coincide with ours. I am not saying that one shouldn’t bring their needs and wants before the Lord. Rather, in the way we do so, we should place them at the feet of the Lord with a humble understanding. We submit ourselves to the will of God even when it’s not easy.
