A Year in Luke/Actsનમૂનો

It is a blind man that sees who Jesus really is better than anyone else. He is told the man “Jesus of Nazareth” is passing by. He immediately calls him by a different name - the Son of David, the true King bringing God’s kingdom to earth. He also asks the right thing of Jesus: for mercy. It is ironically the one who cannot see who recognizes who Jesus is and what his response to him should be. I love how Jesus honors the fact that he is just fine theologically even though he is blind and asks him what he would like him to do for him. His sight is restored and he glorifies God. His own freedom then becomes a way in which others glorify God.
Depending on when you started this plan, today might be Good Friday. This is the day that Christians around the world commemorate Jesus’ death. It is a time for us to recognize our need for the love and mercy that Jesus demonstrated on the cross by dying for us whilst we were still dead in our sin. We join with the blind man saying: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
