3 Steps to Being a KINGDOM BUILDER in Your Life Today - Part 3નમૂનો
Yesterday, we introduced our third and final guideword, "BRING," to help you live as a Kingdom-building Christian in your daily life at home, around town, and at work.
We saw that the letter “B” reminded you to “Be prepared with your Testimony.” Today, we look at the letter “R,” which means “Remember the basics.”
Being ready with your Testimony is important, but it is most effective if you are already giving a good example and in a relationship where you can help others. Remember the guide words “NICER” and “BLESS”?
Once you’re ready with your Testimony, then yes, you need to be on the lookout for an opportunity to share it, but at the right time.
The Kingdom of Heaven is best built in the way that Jesus showed – taking the time to be in relationship with others and then sharing with them in all gentleness and respect. This is just as Peter tells us in the follow-on to his command for us to be ready:
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. – 1 Peter 3:15b-16
Your Testimony may be wonderful and full of encouragement to others, but your actions speak much louder than your words. This is exactly why the basics of being NICER and BLESSing others is so important.., so that those you are in relationship with may be eager to hear what you have to say.
Then, it is just as Jesus says, your good deeds – your NICER and BLESS – are the light to the world, the very example that other people in your circle of influence need:
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:14-16
The example of your life and your good works will bear fruit one day, and that fruit will be the building of the Kingdom of Heaven starting here on earth, with others coming to know Jesus Christ as the Lord & Savior.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God—even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. – 1 Corinthians 10:31-33
Build your Testimony. Remember the basics of being NICER and BLESSing others. Then, put it into action!
About this Plan
“BRING” is the third & final guideword in our 3-part series for living as a Kingdom-building Christian. Mostly, your Christian life will consist of being a good example (“NICER”) and loving others (“BLESS”), yet we are instructed in the Bible always to be ready to explain the hope that we have. In this reading plan, we look at when and how to share the gospel's good news to help build God's Kingdom here on earth, easily and without fear. Be blessed as you read this plan to equip yourself.
