Seek the Lord and Find Himનમૂનો
BIBLICAL VIEW OF THE LAW
We can learn how to earnestly seek after God from David. God said that David was a man after His own heart, and from David's pen, we hear his heart's desire—a desire that God imparted to David.
Read Psalm 1. Observe David's approach. What does he say he does? We see him immerse himself in God's Word not only in his time alone with him in the morning but throughout the day.
We began Psalm 119 yesterday, but let's review verses 1-5 specifically and hear the promises given here. Look closely at who the psalmist says is blessed and how he describes them. He then makes a plea, that his ways would be established to keep God's commands. What would be your plea? Do you continue to find that your heart is still falling short? Is it lukewarm, apathetic, or ashamed? Be encouraged by John's words to us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (ESV). Confess your shortcomings to the Lord.

May God grant us a heart that seeks after Him!
