5 Spiritual Practices for Healing and Transformationનમૂનો
Speaking
You’ve now had an opportunity to implement four of the five spiritual practices that help cultivate your faith walk and lay the foundation for healing and spiritual transformation. However, one more thing is also critical to helping you remain steadfast in your pursuit of God’s best—Speaking God’s Word over your life!
The best vehicle for this practice is prayer. Yet, I wanted to emphasize “speaking” to eliminate the notion that one needs to be in a specific place or posture to engage in this practice. And by speaking, I mean more than just robotically reciting random words. I mean taking this spiritual practice one step further by affirming God’s Word and the vision he’s placed on your heart over your life. Once again, you can only affirm God’s Word if you know it. And you can only affirm what he’s said to you about your life if you’ve asked him and taken time to write down his response. This is not a one-time affair, as God continues to speak over the course of one’s lifetime to those open to receive.
Over the past four days, you’ve now taken all the steps necessary to begin affirming what you’ve received from God. It’s okay if you don’t have much yet. You only need a little to begin standing on what God is saying and leading versus any other thoughts and experiences that speak to the contrary.
This was a short list of spiritual practices to get you started, but I encourage you to continue seeking God concerning how best to pursue his will for your life. He loves you and, above all else, desires to fellowship with you in whichever way you ultimately choose to simply SHOW UP!
Spiritual Practice #5
SPEAKING (AFFIRMING)
The words we speak have power. I pray you can now begin crafting life-giving affirmations that include some of the verses you’ve read and the vision God is speaking into your heart. It is then necessary to intentionally set aside time to read these affirmations with faith and expectation concerning God’s hand at work in your life—not to “make” something happen but to remain in a place of alignment with all God is doing in the midst of inevitable distractions.
Challenge: Take a moment to watch this video on how to start affirming God’s Word over your life every day. Then, memorize and meditate on today’s Scriptures to strengthen your faith in this crucial spiritual practice!
