Heaven

Many people do not realize we will experience a “payday” when we reach Heaven. What we do with a pure heart for the Father here on earth will be rewarded in Heaven. Getting into Heaven is a free gift when we receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, but there is also the possibility to receive so much more! What will our eternity look like? John 14:2 says, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?” Jesus tells us we are to do the same works He has done and obey His commandments. What we do on this side of eternity will result in a paycheck, so to speak. How “rich” do you want your eternity to be? Just being in Heaven will be more amazing than we have words for. However, He has given us the promise of more!

We must be intentional in our quest to serve our Lord purely. Otherwise, daily life takes over, and our humanness wins over the Holy Spirit. Are we spending time with Jesus daily? Do we prefer others before ourselves? Are we taking care of widows or children in need with no parents? Do we stay quiet and patient during a conflict or try to get our way? Can we walk in the joy of the Lord through the most challenging situations? Will those who come behind us find us faithful? Look in the mirror and take an inventory of these questions. Until we take our last breath, we have an opportunity to serve Him better. He wants to give us every good thing! What could be better than an eternity of blessings straight from God’s heart for a well-lived life?
