DAY ONE ~ Armor Up

Ephesians 6:13 "… put on every piece of God’s armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm."

The Apostle Paul is equipping us for Spiritual Warfare. He uses the illustration of armor that a soldier would wear. One way to understand and apply this teaching is to see each piece of the armor as a revelation of Jesus. Paul prayed earlier in the same letter: "I keep asking that … the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better."(Ephesians 1:17).

So as we consider each piece of armor in this way, we are "putting on the Lord Jesus Christ’"(Romans 13:14).

Thank you Father, for the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, so that I may know You better and be fully equipped for victory.
