Led by the Holy Spirit

Jesus promised his disciples, his closest friends, that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they would be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. When Jesus says in the Great Commission, 'I will be with you till the end of days,' that is made possible by the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit that filled the disciples on the day of Pentecost, dwells within us as believers, empowering us to be bold and courageous witnesses for Christ.

If you are worried or fearful about sharing your faith with others, know that you can rely on the Holy Spirit to give you everything you need to do the work of evangelisation. By the Spirit, you carry the presence of Jesus wherever you go. You are like the vessel that carries his power, so that wherever you go and whoever you talk to, the power of the Holy Spirit is with you.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and empower you as you seek to share the love of Jesus with others. Ask the Holy Spirit to put someone or some people on your heart to pray for, and then ask for the boldness and courage to share the gospel with them through words and actions. We don't share the gospel in our own strength, but by God's power within us.
