Peace to You

People for peace—not only the absence of strife but also the deep comfort and serenity of knowing that all will be well. We see glimpses of it, but we are too busy to stop and let it fall on us and permeate our lives. We pray for it, but all too often, we run when God offers it to us. We’re afraid we’ll be disappointed; not even God’s peace can last very long, right? Our distrust of God is the problem. We can’t understand His peace if we’ve never experienced it, but if we would trust Him, we can know what it feels like to bask in the calming, healing peace of the Father. The next time you catch a glimpse of it, stop what you’re doing and immerse yourself in His peace. It’s available to you at all times and in every way.
