7 Days of Healing From Addictionનમૂનો
Prioritize His Voice
The Devil works through distraction, so when God wants us to focus on something, the Devil tries to block us from it. Satan loves it when we listen to the voices of the world before God’s and gorge on cultural delights—from gossip to politics to drugs and alcohol.
It’s more appealing to the flesh to consume content from television networks, podcasts, YouTube videos, or social media influencers than it is to spend time in silence with Jesus and God’s Word. But these “voices” may be the Devil’s attempts to distract and lead us away from the Lord.
Ask yourself which voices you currently allow in your life. Does your favorite TV show tempt you to sin? Does your favorite influencer distract you from God? Do the messages from your news network lead you to doubt your faith? Avoid those voices.
Thankfully, one of God’s gifts to his children is discernment, which is the ability to distinguish right from wrong and truth from falsehood. Pray for discernment, and God will give it to you. Ask the Lord to clearly show you what to cut out from your life. If this proves challenging alone, ask fellow Christian friends to hold you accountable so that you do not fall back into sin.
Most importantly, always make sure you’re devoting time to communing with God and immersing yourself in his holy Word. The more time you spend in the Word, the easier it will become to recognize evil in the world. Turn to the Lord for his power and discernment and listen for his voice.
