Learning to Be Vulnerable

DAY 4 OF 5

FEAR

"Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth." (Mark 5:33)

The woman was afraid because all her life she had been told she couldn't touch anyone. If she touched someone, that person would also be considered unclean. She knew she had done something that was not allowed, something contrary to what society said she should do. Even in fear, she found courage and told the whole truth.

Don't let fear or shame cause you to hide anything from God (besides, it's impossible to hide anything from Him).

When you sin, the devil will tell you that you are no longer worthy to come into God's presence. The enemy will make you believe that everyone in the church is judging you and doesn't like you anymore. When you do something "wrong," the enemy will fill your mind with guilt and make you afraid to approach God. Understand this: our God is a God of mercy.

Don't be afraid to expose yourself before Him. Don't be afraid to tell Him your deepest and darkest secrets. The right place to confess is at His feet. Don't allow shame or guilt to hinder God's work in your life. He desires to work in you, to offer help and healing. To experience this, choose Him, take a stand, repent, and have faith that He is just and faithful to forgive and cleanse you.

“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (Mark 5:34)

Jesus healed the soul and body of that woman. To the world, she was unclean, but to Jesus, she was now a daughter. Let your faith heal you too!

Jesus is searching for you, seeking who you truly are. Don't delay until tomorrow, don't conceal yourself, don't be afraid. And if fear grips you, speak the truth regardless. In His presence, we can lay ourselves bare without filters, without barriers. Don't hesitate to enter His presence. Don't fear being vulnerable before Him. Embrace freedom from your suffering!

About this Plan

Learning to Be Vulnerable

In our society, we are often labeled as not good enough. We hide behind fear, shame, and create various defense mechanisms. The truth is, while we need to protect ourselves in this world, there's a place where we must learn to be vulnerable: in the presence of Jesus Christ.
