Feeling Trapped Right Now?
Perhaps you've made a major decision in your life, but now it seems like it was a big mistake.
Maybe it's your job, once perfect, but now you're unsure if you can stay here any longer…
Maybe it's even your marriage. It was supposed to be THE decision of your life! After being blessed in the church, you thought you'd conquer the world together! But now, you hardly look at each other, living past one another...
Perhaps you've failed for the hundredth time. You never wanted to do that thing again... You've prayed so many times, "Please forgive me one more time! I'll truly never do it again!"
Maybe you've even made a decision you can't undo. You chose not to keep your baby, and now you're trapped in guilt...
Even Paul spent several years in prison. And when I recently read the Bible one morning, one passage stood out to me. In this prison, we would probably ask, "Why am I here? Why is no one helping me? God, have you abandoned me?" Paul reacts differently. He encourages:
"For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches, He may strengthen you... I pray that you, being rooted and established in love... Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine..." (from Ephesians 3:14-20 NIV)
Let's take away 4 points from this:
- He worships God IN his prison! No questions, no complaints!
- He asks God for strength.
- He reminds us of God's great love.
- He reminds us that God can do more than we can see today.
*Would you like to go through these 4 points yourself today? As many times as needed? Because:
While you seek God's presence, He finds a solution for you!
You are loved!
You are a miracle!
