7 Days in His Presenceનમૂનો
Swept Into Him
Most homes, even the organized ones, end up with a junk drawer. Maybe you have a closet, a room, or even a garage that’s become overtaken with random items. No matter how large your clutter catcher is, the problem is the same: space. Everything that enters your home needs a spot, and the more that comes in, the fewer the open spaces. Eventually, be it through a yard sale, donation, or a storage unit, something’s got to go. Every home has limits.
Our hearts and minds are basically the same. Everything allowed inside takes up room. Our memories, emotions, and observations take up space whether we like it or not. One of the most wonderful gifts of a relationship with Jesus is the space His Spirit claims in our lives. The more we invite Him in, the more junk gets cleared away. His Peace pushes out anxiety. His Patience banishes our short tempers. His Joy leaves no room for contention. He can even clear out the things that we regret absorbing in the first place.
The reality of God in us is beautiful. As we surrender, we are swept into Him. The more time that we spend in His Presence, the more we become like Him. Our hearts become aligned with His, and we experience the great blessing that comes from being fully known and fully loved. There is no need to hold onto all your junk when God offers you something better.
No matter what has been taking up space in your heart, God promises freedom and redemption. You don’t even have to organize it yourself. Allow your Maker to sift through each thing you are holding on to. By His Spirit, He will show you what is worth keeping and what should be let go of. While you might be embarrassed to show company your junk drawer, you don’t need to be ashamed before the Lord. No matter how messy your heart is, God can gently and lovingly sort through it if you allow Him to. Trust that He is an expert at what He does and will faithfully lead you to Everlasting Life.
