Sit, Walk, Stand - a 40 Day Walk Through of Ephesiansનમૂનો
Eph 6:1-3
Ephesians 6:1-3
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
The only commandment in the Ten Commandments that has a promise attached to it is 'Honour your parents.' The promise is 'a long life to enjoy.'
Paul is clear that honouring your parents has got to do with your relationship with God. We cannot separate our relationship with God from how we conduct our relationships with people.
To honour is to “put weight on”. In Hebrew honour meant “weight” and could even be measured in gold. We might not have the monetary value attached to it today, even though some cultures still see it as a matter of honour in how they look after their parents in old age.
As you get older, you become your own man or woman, and while you can allow your parents to “weigh in” on certain topics, the relationship is more about honour than obedience.
How can you honour your parents?

About this Plan
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? The Christian walk can make you feel like striving when really everything has been done for you by Jesus, but there is still so much to be done. This is the tension every Christian walks in. The tension between the NOW & the NOT-YET. We are SEATED with Jesus, now WALK IT OUT, so that you may STAND.
