Philippians - Living in the Word

DAY 24 OF 30

Prayer Direction:

Oftentimes, we read the word “devote” and it already seems unattainable. Paul’s encouragement to the church demystifies the charge completely. Ultimately, without prayer, we wouldn’t last long. Prayer encourages us, it keeps us alert, and thankfulness becomes our posture. When we devote ourselves to prayer, we will have opportunities to share the gospel—the good news—to people that the Lord has intentionally placed in our lives. You, through prayer, will be able to see your situation, big or small, and still display His glory and truth by the way you live for His kingdom.

Prayer:

Lord, I thank You for Your word. Thank You that through the encouragement of scripture, I am not limited by my circumstances to share the good news! Forgive me for times I have shrunk back out of fear or insecurity. I don't want to waste an opportunity to tell someone about how much You love them. Thank You for using me and allowing me to share the truth so that someone might be saved. Holy Spirit, would You lead me in conversations and season it perfectly to be received? I devote myself to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Philippians - Living in the Word

Beginning with Philippians, Paul gives insight into his personal experiences, including his ability to be content in both abundance and lack. Then, in Colossians, Paul focuses on the supremacy of Christ, showcasing His sovereignty in the physical and spiritual realms. Finally, in 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Paul writes to honor and congratulate the Christians in Thessalonica for their faith and growth in the face of intense persecution.
