Man Code Cheat Codeનમૂનો
A MAN IS THE KING AND PROVIDER OF HIS CASTLE
- The King is the guardian of his garden
- He provides adequate resources for his family
- He is a diligent and faithful steward of his time, talent, and treasure.
- He delegates responsibility to those who dwell in the castle.
- The King exhibits righteous intentions and speaks words of encouragement and wisdom.
Contrary to the royal dictatorship of kings thousands of years ago, the title of king in this context is metaphorical to the dominion a man must willingly assume as leader of the home. Therefore, before you run around your house demanding to be referred to as ‘king of the castle’, hear me out. As king of his castle, a man must take an active role in properly providing and stewarding resources necessary to sufficiently maintain his dwelling. ‘Providing for a household’ is often associated with financial provision. While much of that context is accurate and mostly commonplace, the man does not always bear the full financial burden alone. He should certainly establish himself as a significant earner in the family, while also working in accordance with his wife to cast a proper vision of spending, investing, and allocating resources.
In addition to co-managing funds, the man customarily incorporates an element of stewardship teamwork by enlisting other family members to perform various duties of household operations. In contrast to royalty from centuries ago, the proverbial king’s court of today, if led properly by the ‘king’, receives constructive delegation and chips in to perform invaluable household maintenance duties. The members of the home function as members of a team. Unfortunately, in some cases, the tail is wagging the dog when the children become an entitled group of non-contributors. Fathers who refrain from an active role in creating a family of participants are content with apathetically accepting an imbalance of household duties. Those who can’t earn outside the home must be commissioned to contribute internally. The king enforces compliance and, if necessary, rules with consequential and fair judgment.
Our final component of the leader’s provision is the execution of time management in a way that honors and prioritizes his family. A Godly man is not defined solely by his ability to earn wages and facilitate the exchange of goods and services. He isn’t just a ‘money-maker’ and ‘check-writer’ (or in modern terms a ‘card-swiper’). He is, however, aware of the quality time necessary to create relational collisions with family members. He finds a way to show up and stay present in the moment. A king worthy of a throne knows how and when to teach, guide, listen, and love. King Jesus epitomized all the royalty and nobility of a true King. He understood when to be face to face in times of instruction or correction, but also realized when to be shoulder to shoulder alongside the people He cared most about. He is our example and one we should strive to emulate each day.
HOW WE WIN:
- REVIEW THE BUDGET WITH YOUR SPOUSE THIS WEEK.
- ASK CHILDREN TO IDENTIFY AN AREA WHERE THEY CAN BEST CONTRIBUTE TO HOUSEHOLD OPERATIONS.
- INCORPORATE A FAMILY ACTIVITY NIGHT ONCE A WEEK.
