Comfort in Anxietyનમૂનો
Surgery for healing
“Come, let us return to the Lord; for He has torn us, that He may heal us; He has struck us down, and He will bind us up.” (Hosea 6:1)
It's characteristic of the Lord to bring about tearing before He brings healing. This demonstrates the genuine love in His heart and the precise surgery of His hand. He often inflicts bruises before applying the binding, ensuring a thorough and reliable restoration. The law comes before the gospel; the recognition of your need comes before having the need met. Are you currently experiencing the convicting and humbling touch of the Spirit? Is there a return to a sense of bondage and fear? This serves as a necessary step toward experiencing genuine healing and restoration through the gospel.
Do not lose hope, but bring all your raw wounds, deep bruises, and festering sores to the Lord. He alone possesses the power to heal, and He takes pleasure in doing so. Binding up the brokenhearted is the Lord's specialty, and He excels at it. Let's not delay but immediately return to the Lord from whom we've wandered. Let's present Him with our gaping wounds and implore Him to recognize His own work and bring it to completion. Would a surgeon make an incision and then abandon the patient to bleed out? Would the Lord demolish our old dwelling without intending to construct a better one? Would He ever knowingly amplify the distress of anxious souls? Such thoughts are far from the Lord.
