What Jesus Said About Our Calling to Be Disciple-Makersનમૂનો
What is my calling?
Your calling is to continue to do what Jesus did when He came to earth.
In Luke 5:32, Jesus said: I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
In Luke 4:18-19 Jesus said: The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour.
He sends us to tell about the kingdom of God, preach salvation, heal people, drive out demons, reach out to the broken-hearted, and care for those living in poverty and all kinds of brokenness and pain.
This is your calling. This is what disciples of Jesus do.
Each of us has specific gifts and talents. In the light of this, Jesus gives each of us a ministry: some must become pastors, others will work with children in the local church and others with orphans. Some will be called to work with prostitutes, and others will be nurses and doctors. Some will build houses for the poor and needy, and others will give language classes for the illiterate.
If you ask Him, the Holy Spirit will show you what you must do. And when you get there, do not forget that your first priority is to get people reconciled with God and to make disciplemakers of the new converts (and other Christians that may work with you).
About this Plan
God is calling all of us to be disciple-makers. But He also has a specific calling for all of us - a specific place in the church or the world where we must live out our calling.
