The Care Projectનમૂનો
He Made Himself Nothing
You don’t have to look far to recognize Jesus as the gold standard for caring for people. He gave His life for the sins of mankind even though He was sinless Himself. He took on all the punishment that we deserve and dealt a final blow to the power of death.
But He wasn’t just a man strictly on a mission to die. He walked in our shoes. He interacted with people and taught the Word of God. He met people’s needs - a bunch of them. He healed sicknesses of all kinds. He raised people from the dead. He fed the masses multiple times. He invested in a small band of followers. He gave of His time, His supernatural abilities, and His Godly wisdom to anyone needy.
- Diseased? He gave them special attention and unheard-of physical contact.
- Children? He corrected anyone who got in the way of kids spending time with Him.
- Societal rejects? He went to their houses and welcomed them into his life with open arms.
- Sinners? He forgave them and sent them on their way restored.
Jesus’ love for mankind was why He came. He was daily committed to being with people and caring for the things they cared about (yes, even stressed-out wedding planners!) He never belittled their needs. He simply listened, observed, and stepped into those needs. There’s enough care displayed in the life of Jesus to carry us forward for the rest of our lives.
DAILY OPPORTUNITY
Think of a time when Jesus served another person in scripture. How can you repeat that in another person’s life today?
About this Plan
