What Jesus Said About Following Himનમૂનો
I do; you watch and learn.
Read Matthew 4:23-25 – Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralysed—and He healed them.
After Jesus called Simon, Andrew, James and John, we read how He went through the villages to preach, heal the sick, and deliver the demon-possessed.
The same thing happened in Mark 1 after Jesus called these four men and said: Follow Me.
Look what He did:
·Jesus demonstrated His authority over the demons (Mark 1:21-28; 5:1-20).
·Jesus demonstrated His authority over sin (Mark 2:1-12).
·Jesus demonstrated His authority over the Sabbath (Mark 2:23-3:6).
·Jesus demonstrated His authority over nature (Mark 4:35-41).
·Jesus demonstrated His authority over illness and disease (Mark 1:40-45; 5:21-34).
·Jesus demonstrated His authority over death (Mark 5:35-43).
He basically said to them: I do; you watch and learn.
Do you see yourself as someone who is in training? Do you realise that as you read the Bible, the Holy Spirit is busy equipping you to be a disciple and disciple-maker?
About this Plan
The first thing that Jesus did when He came to the disciples was to call them to follow Him. And He added: to make fishers of men. In the same way, Jesus is calling us to follow Him and make fishers of men. Many think only about salvation when Jesus calls them. No, He calls us to repentance and to be fishers of men. It is one concept.
