Faithful Jesus

Read Psalm 4

David’s psalm is one where he is calling out to God for help. He’s seeking relief from distress and seeking an answer to his prayers.

We all go through this from time to time when things feel overwhelming and life feels too much. Calling out to God and asking for relief in difficult times or stressful situations is natural and ok. Never feel that you can’t do this.

Turn to many psalms, and you’ll see that the writers have done this. The Psalms provide us with real and raw emotions, making them so readable and helpful for us all these years later.

This psalm shows that David does find the peace he’s looking for because he knows his faithful God. He knows that God has set him apart for what He wants David to do, and he knows that God hears his prayers.

We, too, know God’s faithful servant. God sent Jesus to rescue us and bring us hope and peace. We can put our trust and hope in Him because we have confidence that He loves us and we are heard.
