Peace Is Your Inheritanceનમૂનો
Peace Produces Miracles
Our whole Christian walk should revolve around Jesus and most times we believe it is. We hear sermons about Jesus' miracles, we sing about the greatness of Jesus and nothing is wrong with sermons and worship that is Jesus centered. But, have you ever asked yourself, What caused Jesus to move and operate in such supernatural means even though he was always bombarded with both friends and enemies? The answer my friends is peace; he maintained and operated in such a level of peace there was no room for fear. Therefore, there were no limits to what he could do.
Jesus sleeps in the middle of an outrageous and to his disciples a life-threatening storm. When he is awoken from his sleep by Peter he is not frustrated, angry or upset, he merely speaks to the storm, and it stops immediately. (Mark 4:38 – 29 NIV)
Jesus feeds a multitude of people from only five loaves and two fish. (Mark 6:41 NIV). I get a panic attack just planning a birthday party for my children; I would have probably passed out from a just looking at the multitude.
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after he had been in the tomb for four days all the while maintaining his composure and continuing his ministry during the four days until he could get to Lazarus. (John 11:4 – 6 NIV)
Jesus turned ordinary drinking water into wine to save a wedding (John 2:1 – 11 NIV)
Jesus pays taxes to Caesar by sending Peter to open the mouth of a fish where the money would be found. (Matthew 17:24 – 27 NIV)
These are just a few miracles Jesus performed while he was on earth and He even promised that we would do things greater than he did. The reality of daily issues presented itself in Jesus' life, but at every juncture and every obstacle, Jesus ruled the situation with peace. So often we lose sleep over situations that only Jesus can handle, we worry about provisions, sickness, and disease. We are anxious about being embarrassed if we can't keep up with our friends and culture and about having enough. Well, today I want to encourage you to give over to Jesus all that you have no control of and everything that is bigger than you and rest in him, rest in his love for you knowing he is able. Just think about this, the very peace that Jesus operated in and performed all these miracles is the very same peace he left for you!
"Christ's miracles were not the suspension of the natural order but the restoration of the natural order. They were a reminder of what once was prior to the fall and a preview of what will eventually be a universal reality once again--a world of peace and justice, without death, disease, or conflict." Tim Keller
